Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles.
Hi Myles, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well it all originally started in 2019 when I started the MylesPerHr podcast . And in 2021 I became my schools play by play announcer for men’s and women’s basketball. I did that from my freshman year 2021 to the beginning of junior year 2023. I got into hosting different events at my school. And I was the vice president of BC Media a social media organization at my college. Then at the beginning of 2025 my advisor Dr. Dawn Campbell asked me what I wanted to do in life and I told her I wanted to be a radio host and she offered me a position at a radio station. She works at to be the sports cohost with Kevin Desant, and I’ve been there ever since. Also, I intern at 101.3 the big DM with Jeffery Lampkin.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I mean, it hasn’t been a smooth road but this is what I want to do and this is what I love so I do what I have to do. Some of the challenges that I’ve faced is… just getting your name out there, keeping your nose clean, being someone people wanna be around and listen to, and just being an all all around good person.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What I do… or what I like to describe myself as is an entertainer and personality. But my job title is a radio host for Columbias Praise 95.7 and 101.3 the BIG DM with Jeffery Lampkin. I do the sports side of radio but I just enjoy talking about life, people, EVERYTHING! What I say I’m KNOWN for is maybe my personality and my tag line “YO, YO, YO. What’s going on errbodi it’s ya boy MylesPerHr” Now it’s a lot I’m proud of… being a well known podcaster, interviewing different athletes from former NFL players to HBCU athletes. But what I’m most proud of is being on two different radio stations before the age of 23. What sets MYLESPERHR apart is I promise you. You will never find someone like me. And you may ask why is that, and all I can say is… come find out why.
