Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Singleton.
Hi Brandy , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career with a deep desire to make an impact in local communities. Over time, that passion evolved into a calling to build programs, partnerships, and platforms that promote safety, leadership, and growth.
When I first began with PlaySafe USA, the goal was simple, to ensure athletes had access to quality athletic training and safer sports environments. Over time, that vision grew. Today, PlaySafe USA represents an entire ecosystem of wellness, connecting athletic safety with community education, mental health, and overall well-being. It’s about creating a culture where athletes and communities thrive together, where safety is the foundation, but wellness is the standard.
At the same time, my leadership journey expanded beyond sports. I began to see how my experiences could translate into helping others, particularly women in leadership, lead confidently across cultures and contexts. That’s what inspired the creation of Prime Directive Global LLC, an initiative that brings globally minded women together to strengthen executive presence, navigate cultural transitions, and build meaningful leadership connections around the world.
In every stage of my career, one thread remains constant: dedication to service. Whether in sports, leadership, or cross-cultural collaboration, my journey is about transforming purpose into progress and progress into lasting impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were times when I questioned whether the vision was too big or the timing too soon. I’ve faced challenges from limited funding and staffing to balancing innovation with sustainability. But through every obstacle, I learned to pause, reassess, and find creative ways forward. There were moments of exhaustion and doubt, but those moments also deepened my faith, sharpened my leadership, and reminded me that real impact rarely comes without resistance.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about PlaySafe USA?
PlaySafe USA is built on a simple but powerful belief that every athlete deserves a safe environment to play, grow, and succeed. We started by providing on-site athletic trainers to schools and communities that lacked access to consistent sports medicine coverage. Over time, that focus expanded into a full ecosystem of wellness, one that connects athletic safety with education, community engagement, and holistic health.
Today, PlaySafe USA is known for being more than a service provider; we’re a partner in prevention and preparedness. From developing certified youth coach training programs to hosting community wellness events, we help schools, leagues, and local governments strengthen their capacity to care for athletes and young people.
What sets us apart is our community-first approach. We don’t just show up on game day; we build relationships, create resources, and develop local systems that last long after the whistle blows. We believe safety is not optional — it’s a standard of leadership.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how PlaySafe USA has grown beyond a logo or a name — it’s a movement. Our brand represents trust, expertise, and compassion. Whether we’re training a coach, equipping a school, or supporting a parent, our work is grounded in the idea that when a community values safety, it values its future.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t really think of my journey in terms of luck, I see it through the lens of faith and purpose. Every high and every low has been part of a greater plan that I may not have always understood in the moment, but I’ve always trusted that God was guiding my steps.
There were seasons when doors closed that I desperately wanted open, and others when opportunities appeared that I knew could only have been divine timing. Those moments reminded me that success isn’t random it’s rooted in obedience, perseverance, and grace.
In my business and leadership journey, faith has been the constant. When things didn’t go as planned, I learned to lean in rather than give up; to pray, pause, and listen. What some might call “bad luck” often turned out to be God’s redirection. And what others might call “good luck” has always been His favor at work.
For me, it’s never been about luck; it’s been about trusting the process and the One who directs it.
