My journey into the pool industry began in Charleston, South Carolina, where I spent three years building high-end, luxury pools. During that time, I gained hands-on experience in every phase of construction and developed a passion for designing and delivering exceptional outdoor spaces. That experience inspired me to bring my expertise home to Lexington, where Blue Ember Pools & Spas was born.
At Blue Ember Pools, we specialize in custom concrete gunite pool builds — each project designed to reflect the unique style and vision of our clients. My background includes a master’s degree in leadership, as well as years of experience coaching and playing college baseball, which instilled in me a strong sense of teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail. These same values guide every aspect of our work today.
As a family-owned and operated business, my wife and I have been married for over three years, and we’re proud parents to our two-year-old son. Family is the foundation of who we are and what we do. Our goal is to help other families create lasting memories through beautifully crafted backyards that become the heart of their homes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the primary challenges we’ve encountered as a new company is building brand awareness. While I bring several years of experience constructing high-end pools, establishing a new name in a competitive market takes time and consistency. It’s not enough to have the expertise — people need to see your work, hear your story, and experience the level of professionalism and craftsmanship you deliver.

Each project we complete and each satisfied client helps strengthen our reputation and expand our reach across the Midlands.
