Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey & Trent Madden.
Hi Casey & Trent, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?

When Casey and Trent first opened their home to a few dogs during the 2019 holiday season, they had no idea they were planting the seeds of what would become Rock Hill Pet Care—a full-time passion and one of the community’s favorite local pet care businesses.
At the time, both were working demanding full-time jobs—Casey as a school mental health therapist and Trent as a mechanical engineer. When COVID hit, their daily routines shifted, and so did their vision for what life could look like. With both working from home, they began offering dog daycare to a few local families who needed help balancing work and pet care. What started as a small, temporary gesture quickly became something much bigger.
“We loved having the extra company and helping our local community,” Casey recalls. “It felt natural to keep going—and before we knew it, this little side project had become something we couldn’t imagine not doing.”
As word spread, Rock Hill Pet Care grew from a few neighborhood dogs into a trusted name for boarding and daycare across York County and beyond. By focusing on small groups, personalized care, and clear communication, Casey and Trent built their business around a simple but powerful mission: to create a safe, fun, home-away-from-home environment where dogs are treated like family.
Safety remains at the heart of everything they do. Each new guest goes through a detailed onboarding process to ensure compatibility and comfort. They keep playgroups intentionally small and provide daily updates so owners can stay connected with their pups while away. Through social media posts, text updates, and open communication, Rock Hill Pet Care has earned a loyal following of clients who value that extra touch of attentiveness and transparency.
In just a few short years, their hard work and commitment have paid off. Rock Hill Pet Care was named a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite in 2024 and received Silver Awards for both “Best Kennel” and “Best Pet Sitters” in the Rock Hill Community Votes.
Beyond their professional success, Casey and Trent bring a uniquely personal touch to their work. Trent, a U.S. Navy veteran and former greyhound foster, has always had a calm, patient energy that dogs gravitate toward. Casey’s background as a mental health therapist helps her blend empathy, structure, and connection—both with animals and people. Together, they’ve created a business that reflects their shared values: reliability, kindness, and genuine care for the pets and families they serve.
As Rock Hill Pet Care continues to grow, their focus remains the same: keeping tails wagging, owners at ease, and community connections strong.
